Leading Design: thriving as a new UX Manager

Moving from being a practitioner into your first UX managerial role is hard.
You stop doing the work; you may be managing your friends and peers, and working to set the strategy for the team.
It’s a set of skills you probably won’t have been taught. You may have the natural aptitude but need support and training to move to the next level.
And what do you focus on? Developing the practice, UX, product and service strategy, people management or meeting business objectives?
Your boss will say everything!
Are you not sure if you should follow a specialist principal route or become a people manager?
